Muslim minor marriages fall

FEWER Muslims are getting hitched below age 21 and among those who do, fewer have broken marriages.

Both downtrends can be traced to the efforts of community groups in persuading couples to re-think their decisions, Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs Yaacob Ibrahim said when he released the latest figures in Parliament on Thursday.
